Philosophical Moments

I’m no Aristotle but I’m curious about the world in general. How can you not be??? I question a lot of things – things that make sense and those that don’t. I try to increase my awareness of the world whether through conversations, TV, books, magazines. I think I now own the knowledge that everyone is seeking:)

I need to start writing my philosophical moments down; with the name “nutty philosopher” it comes with the territory.

On Being Human

1. I think it’s pretty hard being a human being. You are made up of different elements. You have to take care of your physical, mental and spiritual self to achieve a good balance in life. If something is off, then it affects the rest. It could be something as simple as getting enough sleep. I have sleep issues which is a nightmare to deal with. If you can’t sleep you become depressed, unproductive, mental, you name it.

Religion

1. I don’t understand religion and never will especially Christianity. If Christians believe in ONE God, why the division in Church and so many denominations??? Growing up I attended so many different Churches. If someone asked me what denomination I was, I could not tell you. Even if I did, I didn’t know what it meant.

“True” Christianity is not really a religion, it’s about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion is man-made, and that’s why you get so many different religions and denominations in the world.

BTW, I like your blog title. 🙂

Thanks for commenting!! You’re absolutely right. I had this discussion with a friend who does not call herself a “Christian” rather, a believer in God.

Whenever I log into my blog I always dream of getting a Krispy Kreme donut. Thank God we don’t have one close to where I live.

Being a human being is tough, we are burdened with thoughts! Like this blogger here, I left my comment there.
